Director General of Customs Meets Kandahar Traders

Oct 18, 2022, in an official visit to assess Kandahar Customs, Director General of Customs Mufti Abdul Mateen Saeed met with the representatives of various commercial companies and unions at Kandahar Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting which was also attended by the Deputy Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister, the opening remarks were made by Mohammad Siddiq Mohmand, the chairman of the Kandahar Chamber of Commerce, who welcomed the delegation and noted that since the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan came to power, corruption has been eradicated and customs procedures have become simpler and continued by saying that the issues facing merchants are now being addressed.
The deputy economic advisor to the prime minister remarked that the goal of our visit to Kandahar is to hear about the challenges faced by the traders. He urged them to share any current issues they are experiencing with the delegation.

Kandahar traders in turn shared the problems in the customs with the delegation and asked for a solution. The appropriate instructions were given to the officials by Director General of customs. He also said that he will share with the leadership of the Ministry of Finance to solve some of the remaining problems
