Development of bilateral economic cooperation the main focus of the visit Acting Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

The Uzbek delegation consists of representatives of various government agencies and national investors, led by Prime Minister Abdullah Arifov visited Balkh province on July 01, 2019 which honored by H.E. Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President.
The aim of this visit is to strengthen and expand bilateral economic and trade relation considering the available potentials between the two countries which fully discussed by the parties.

In the meeting, Minister Qayoumi and Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Arifov, discussed Hairatan to Mazar-e-Sharif railway, import of energy (electricity) from Uzbekistan, establishing energy infrastructures in Afghanistan, Uzbekistan’s cooperation and investment in textile industry and agriculture including purchase of fertilizer, export of cotton and establishing a sample gardening in Afghanistan
Two sides agreed that the technical team consist of the two sides work on the above-mentioned issues and finalize agreements to be signed till the next session which will take place in Tashkent.

Likewise, in the meeting, two sides emphasized on strengthening and expanding economic and trade relations.
